Research Assistant Positions 

Multiple research assistant positions (MS and PhD) are available for highly motivated students starting Fall 2016 in Power System Laboratory in the Dept. of Energy Systems Research at the Ajou University, South Korea. Our primary research interest lies in the broad area of electric power, renewable energy systems, microgrid, and smartgrid. The successful candidates will conduct scientific research, perform experiments, present at conferences, and publish in journals in the following areas.

- Coordinated control of renewable energy system
- Coordinated control of energy storage system
- The impact study of high-penetration of renewable generation on power transmission and distribution circuits
- Development of a microgrid design optimization tool
- Renewable energy generation forecasting
- Smartgrid
- Power system IT

Required qualifications: 
1) BS with high standing or MS degree in electrical, computer engineering, and related field 
2) Excellent communication skills 
3) Power system knowledge, preferred
4) Computer programming skills, preferred
